Our “FAMILY” has many years of experience as well as the expertise and knowledge required to run a GREAT CAMP. We pride ourselves in our commitment to excellence and our dedication to making camp incredibly fun and memorable. To complement our stunning site and facilities is our outstanding senior staff. They are mature, energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated and, most of all, fun! Their many years of camp experience and talent make them particularly special.
Our Director’s priority and focus is on safety, leadership, supervision, planning, customer satisfaction, and the high level of quality instruction in activity areas.
Large in number, our staff is composed of senior staff members, group leaders, activity leaders, and aquatic staff. With spirit and enthusiasm, EVERYONE on our team “makes it happen” – everyone embraces our commitment to kindness, mutual respect, support and skill development.
Ratios
There is an overall camper to staff ratio of 3 to 1. Senior staff members are constantly interacting with camper groups, providing on-going supervision and direction to staff every day.
The AV Team
In our search for exemplary staff members, we interview candidates and carefully check references. We hire outstanding applicants who, as positive role models, will be nurturing, fun-loving responsible leaders and trusted friends. As part of the Adventure Valley team, they will make a positive difference in our campers’ lives.
Our group leaders will lead specific age groups of campers, spending each day with their group by traveling with them to their different activities. While providing supervision, group leaders will participate in activities ensuring that each camper receives the individual attention s/he needs within the group, helping him/her feel welcome, connected, encouraged and supported.
Our activity leaders and aquatic staff are chosen for their experience and ability to organize, instruct and supervise a specific camp activity. We offer a wide variety of traditional camp activities that are run by specially trained activity leaders. Our activity leaders will coach campers in a non-competitive, cooperative atmosphere. Our programs and activities are tailored to the ages and abilities of the campers, are high-energy, fun and creative, and are designed to boost self-confidence, self esteem and teamwork!
