Adventure Valley Teams Up with Camp Tamakwa in Algonquin Park
Beginning this summer, Camp Tamakwa and Adventure Valley Day Camp will be teaming up to provide Toronto area campers with a thrilling new overnight adventure. For a special four days in August, Adventure Valley campers will have the chance to be treated to a taste of residential summer camp at Camp Tamakwa, located in beautiful Algonquin Park.
Tamakwa and Adventure Valley share similar values of family, spirit, compassion and traditional camp fun all in a safe and nurturing environment. Tamakwa’s 75 years of history combined with Adventure Valley’s fresh spirit provide an ideal partnership to bring Toronto families the best of both day and residential camp life.
Camp Tamakwa is a children's village where campers live and play in a safe, creative, active habitat, and where they are encouraged to do what they do best... be themselves. Campers have the opportunity to take part in tons of exciting camp activities, including: canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, fishing, instructional swim, arts & crafts, pottery, woodworking, ropes course, climbing wall, outdoor fun, fitness, roller hockey, as well as numerous other sports, and much more.
The Tamakwa Overnight Adventure is open to Adventure Valley campers currently in grades 1 to 5 and will take place from Wednesday, August 4th to Saturday, August 7th. Transportation to Tamakwa will be provided on Wednesday followed by a special open house at Tamakwa on Saturday for Adventure Valley parents picking up their campers. The cost of this exciting Tamakwa Overnight Adventure is only $165. Campers must be registered to attend Adventure Valley during the week of the trip.
